We are delighted to welcome you to the inaugural Excellence In Finance Conference, to be held in the beautiful surroundings of Edinburgh's Playfair Library on Friday 18th October 2013. Supported by platinum sponsors Aberdeen Asset Management, this is the first student conference of its kind in the North of the UK, an exciting event which promises to bring together talented individuals with inspiring speakers.

The financial climate is still volatile to say the least, and the industry as a whole has undergone huge changes in recent years. In order to address the continuing uncertainty for many involved both within the industry and those hoping to integrate in the future, this year's theme is 'The Future of UK Finance.' We are extremely fortunate to be able to announce a distinguished group of speakers and panellists, particularly highlighting keynote speeches from ex-Chancellor Rt Hon Alistair Darling MP and Baron Smith of Kelvin - Chair of the Green Investment Bank.

With a capacity of just 250, tickets are expected to be in high demand, with students coming from across Scotland and the North of England to attend.
